Electrical Estimator

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates for electrical construction projects, ensuring that all costs are accounted for and that bids are competitive. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems and components, as well as the ability to analyze project specifications and requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical construction projects.
  • Analyze project blueprints, specifications, and proposals to determine scope and cost of work.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project requirements and constraints.
  • Utilize software tools such as Excel to create and manage estimates and budgets.
  • Conduct risk analysis to identify potential issues and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare and present reports on estimation results to stakeholders.
  • Maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to gather pricing information and ensure accuracy of estimates.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems and components.
  • Familiarity with commercial and industrial electrical projects.
  • Proficient in estimating software and tools (e.g., McCormick, EMB, Excel).
  • Excellent analytical and forecasting skills.
  • Strong budgeting and risk analysis capabilities.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
