Electrical Chief Estimator

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Chief Estimator to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the estimating process for electrical projects and ensuring accurate and timely bids are submitted. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the estimating team in the preparation of detailed cost estimates for electrical projects in WWTP
  • Review and analyze project plans and specifications to accurately determine project scope and requirements
  • Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure accurate and complete bid packages
  • Manage bid deadlines and ensure timely submission of bids
  • Participate in post-bid reviews and work closely with project teams to ensure successful project execution
  • Continuously evaluate and improve estimating processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and accuracy
  • Determine and price value-engineered alternatives to plans and specs

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in electrical construction estimating
  • Prior experience with hard bid, negotiated work, and conceptual estimating
  • Prior experience winning design-build projects in excess of 200M
  • Demonstrated experience in electrical power, instrumentation/controls, schematics and control diagrams
  • Experience working on WWTP projects
  • Ability to read and interpret project plans and specs
  • Proficiency with Accubid and/or similar estimating software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is PREFERRED
