The Finance Manager will join an organization that is not only the largest healthcare provider in the area, but the hospital also has grown into a complex organization with many services and locations, but with the same clear mission: to care for everyone in the community regardless of their circumstances or financial means.
The Finance Manager will supervise the general accounting, grants, purchasing, and accounts payable areas within the Finance department. The Finance Manager will be responsible for supervising staff, overseeing the integrity of financial data and ensuring the department meets laws, regulations and guidelines governing financial reporting in a health care facility.
The Finance Manager should have knowledge of supervisory theories and principles; hospital and departmental policies and principles; laws, rules, regulations and standards governing finances and financial reporting in health care facilities; generally accepted accounting principles (G.A.A.P.); finance related theories and principles such as fund accounting, and budgeting and strategic planning.
The Finance Manager will be coordinating the preparation of and completing the review of annual audit documentation while performing account reconciliations and variance analysis. The Finance Manager will also be supervising, directing, training and/or coordinating the work of a team of financial and/or accounting staff.
