The Clinical Nurse Specialist must have a current CNS license in the state of CA, and MSN, and experience training staff members and hosting orientation for ICU/CVICU. As a ICU CNA, duties may very but will definitely include;

  • Establishing and monitoring care standards while making recommendation's of changes in the clinical practice area
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the current care being provided
  • Provides consultation for physicians, nurses, and any other healthcare providers onsite
  • Assists in interviewing staff as well as provides input into evaluations
  • Develops care plans for high risk patients as well as teaching plans for patients / families
