Maintenance Engineering Technician in Liberty, NC

Shift TypeShift starts at 7:30 am – 10 hours shift – Working on weekends and holidays as and when required.

Job Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Need someone highly technical with electrical circuits who would be doing modification of PLC programming and build the programming from the scratch if required.
  • Should be proficient with Relay Logic and status of different switches in the electrical circuits
  • Soft Skills: team player, willing to teach others, positive attitude, self-starter, flexible to work on different schedules
  • This role is all Electrical, so an ideal candidate would have experience with PLC and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Test and repair electrical equipment or systems. (Involving circuits, relay logic, wiring, motors, servo drives, etc.)
  • Strong ability to write, program, troubleshoot, modify and/or repair programmable logic controllers, robotics, cameras, and other electronic equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair safety systems, machine components hydraulic and pneumatic.
  • Plan and execute machine integration into mass production, leveling, adjustment and quality conformation for assigned work area.
  • Perform basic administrative skills including documentation of work performed by written/electronic methods.
  • Develop denwacho (detail schedule) for assigned work area / project.
  • Participate in project planning with Engineering.
  • Demonstrate the ability to learn new processes.
  • Supporting Machine production trials at vendors and internal to Toyota
  • Certify Safety of Equipment per MMR/MMS (NFPA79 and ISO standards) via “Safety Integrity Check”

Job Requirements:

  • Required Travel: 30% Travel Domestic and International: Japan for Meetings, Technical observations and hands-on work after 3 months of hire.
  • Top 3 skills: PLC programming experience, Servo Motors troubleshooting, electrical or wire troubleshooting
  • Should have 3 to 5 years of industrial experience in maintenance, and or Electrical troubleshooting.
  • Should have own Steel Toe Boots.
  • Industrial Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment or equipment installation and debugging experience
  • Experience with Electrical and/or mechanical systems in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Technical experience with PLCs in programming, including read, write and modify logic
  • Good to have technical experience with Servo Motion Controllers
  • Technical experience with relay logic including wiring and troubleshooting
  • Technical experience with Robotics including programming and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Hydraulic or Pneumatic troubleshooting and schematic reading
  • Availability to work overtime, holidays, weekends, and shutdowns

Added bonus if you have:

  • Technical associate degree or higher or equivalent experience
  • Experience in Pre-Production set up
  • Experience with Production Processes including Standardized Work (STW) and Job Instruction Sheets (JIS)
  • Experience gathering and analyzing quality data from multiple sources
  • New plant or facility startup experience
  • Experience with high-volume production in a clean room environment
