Location: Wilmington, DE (Hybrid)

We are a seeking a Senior Analyst to join our Loss Mitigation team in Wilmington, DE. This role will be responsible for driving business results and strategic insights by leading and performing complex projects and quantitative analyses.

This individual will balance a challenging set of priorities and deliver results in a high-paced environment while representing the team in cross-functional, enterprise projects. Working with various partners, the role will also have responsibilities of reporting, ad-hoc analyses, business performance presentations and test & control design.

A successful candidate will possess proficiency in data analysis, a hunger for innovation and the ability to use analytics to improve customer experience and OneMain’s financial performance. They will expand their competencies and grow their business and industry acumen, as well as demonstrate the ability to work on complex processes or projects across the end-to-end project cycle. This individual will also gain knowledge to suggest new answers to old questions, develop insights and push the traditional boundaries of the consumer lending.

Responsibilities

  • Apply advanced use of data analytics tools, such as SAS, SQL, Python, or equivalent, to design, execute and test strategies and reporting in support of loss mitigation strategies and investments decisions.
  • Optimize operating models across branch and centralized locations using A/B testing and statistical design of experiments, optimize and sequence collections/recovery channels.
  • Make recommendations for developing or modifying existing strategies or processes and communicate results and recommendation to senior management.
  • Drive profitable business growth via developing strategy optimization frameworks.
  • Leverage analytical frameworks and model algorithms to understand the key drivers and estimate customer behaviors by different strategy treatment.
  • Design, recommend, document, and execute collection strategy and monitor results of strategies independently.
  • Complete a combination of recurring and ad-hoc requests and priorities with limited guidance.
  • Independently identify and enhance existing processes and reporting through automation, quality control, presentation, and insights
  • Collaboratively work with and influence partners and stakeholders including IT, Finance, Strategy execution, and Operations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or Finance; Graduate or higher degree is highly desirable
  • 2+ years of experience using advanced quantitative analytics techniques.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with SAS, SQL, Python (or equivalent statistical packages) in support of quantitative analytics
  • Experience partnering horizontally with other organizations such as technology, marketing, and operations.
  • Innovative and capable of developing a highly analytical approach to solving problems.
  • Prior knowledge / Experience of Credit, Risk, Collections or Marketing within personal loan or cards portfolio preferred.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, interpersonal skills and thought leadership.
