Position Overview:

Signet Health, a national leader in behavioral health management, is actively recruiting for a full-time Director of Behavioral Health to manage a comprehensive 26-bed behavioral health program (General Adult and Adolescents) and a full-service Outpatient Program located at Trinity Health Minot. This facility serves a wide region of Eastern North Dakota and is committed to providing high-quality care to the community.

This dynamic and seasoned professional will be responsible for overseeing a large, hospital-based behavioral health program, playing a strategic role in leadership and collaboration with Signet Health and hospital administration.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Advance physician engagement and drive operational excellence in patient care delivery.
  • Recruit behavioral health physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinical staff in partnership with hospital recruitment teams.
  • Align with regional strategic and business development initiatives to enhance referral development and marketing efforts for the behavioral health service line.
  • Develop and implement strategic operating and capital budgets.
  • Provide oversight for personnel management and staff development.
  • Plan and implement behavioral health system integration throughout the Trinity Health Minot network.
  • Collaborate with clinical and quality leadership to optimize organizational performance against national quality measures.
  • Serve as the system expert and operational resource for Behavioral Health within the Leadership Team.
  • Ensure the highest level of clinical quality and regulatory compliance for the behavioral health service line.

 

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Healthcare, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive behavioral health operations experience, with at least 3 years in a similar role within a comparable-sized hospital program.
  • Experience managing physician relationships and leading multidisciplinary teams.
  • Familiarity with developing and implementing a continuous improvement culture and process improvement methodologies that foster quality and cost improvement.
