JOB SUMMARY / DESCRIPTION
The ECRS Sales Director (SD) position provides senior sales leadership and account development to the direct sales team. This position is made up of elite individuals who are trained in the art and science of effective selling. These sales executives are tasked with the primary responsibility of establishing profitable new direct customer relationships for ECRS. The Sales Director serves as our corporate face and voice in the market. For this reason, each Sales Director must have a strong understanding and belief in our products, services, and processes, and possess the proper talent to represent ECRS in the marketplace. Each Sales Director is expected to dramatically contribute to delivering effective business results for the corporation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Meet or exceed assigned quota and metric commitments.
- Identify, qualify, and aggressively pursue leads.
- Manage all sales activity and overall customer relationships within assigned Strategic Accounts.
- Act as the team lead to an ECRS Sales Executive on assigned New Relationship Account and/or Managed Account.
- Establish the value of each ECRS product or service with prospects and customers.
- Travel to regional and national trade shows, national prospecting to seek new business, and to maintain existing assigned account relationships.
- Faithfully represent ECRS' Mission and Values Statement in daily work.
- Establish win-win relationships between ECRS and its customers and to serve as customer's advocate.
- Strive daily to grow ECRS's market-share and industry domination.
- Manage, maintain, and grow existing customer business.
- Present a positive and professional demeanor and exhibit harmonious conduct both within ECRS and externally.
- Act as a positive force within ECRS.
- Track all sales activity in the ECRS CRM system.
- Create a strategic sales plan in coordination with the VP of Direct Sales.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent in combined education and professional experience.
- Sales experience with Tier 2 and 3 Grocers AND over 5 years of experience in a related industry or business function.
- Ability to proactively recognize, plan for and overcome obstacles and objections during the sales process.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and a record of safe and competent driving.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively prospect and execute lead generation strategies.
- Ability to quickly learn and retain industry and ECRS specific product knowledge.
- Demonstrate a professional approach and attitude, including professional appearance, etiquette, trustworthiness, and reliability.
- Demonstrated negotiation and closing skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Resiliency and maintaining a positive mental attitude.
- Active listener and ability to empathize with customers.
- Integrity in all dealings both internally and externally.
