BSI is one of the largest skin laser centers in the world, with over 50 lasers on site, and many other non-laser devices for skin and hair conditions.

BSI is looking for an energetic Patient Care Coordinator to join our growing dermatology and cosmetic surgery practices. The right candidate is polished, friendly, professional, motivated, a team player, emotionally and professionally mature, has initiative to problem solve and is empowered to address issues as they arise. BSI has an opportunity in our San Francisco Office. Pay $25-$32 an hour DOE.

Patient Care Coordinator Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a high level of patient care.
  • Explain treatment procedures, medications, wound care instructions and physician’s instructions to patients.
  • Educate patients and their families on the care plan; provide details related to treatments, procedures, medications, and continuing care requirements.
  • Develop interdisciplinary management tools by participating in meetings, coordinating information, and care requirements.
  • Evaluate outcomes of care with the interdisciplinary team by measuring intervention effectiveness.
  • Comply with hospital and legal requirements by fostering nursing practices that adhere to the hospital’s rules and regulations.
  • Protect self, co-workers, and patients by following policies and procedures to prevent bloodborne and airborne diseases.
  • Respect patient’s rights by maintaining their confidentiality.
  • Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organizational standards.
  • Maintain patient care database by entering new information as it becomes available.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Patient Care Coordinator Qualifications and Skills:

  • Great customer and patient service.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Outstanding bedside manner.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A caring and compassionate personality.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
  • CPR Certification.

Additional Skills:

  • Knowledge of sterile technique, anatomy, and medications.
  • Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable.
  • Ability to follow or provide verbal & written instructions with sufficient grammar and spelling skills.
  • Basic to intermediate computer operation.
  • Knowledge and general understanding of HIPAA guidelines.

Additional Knowledge/Skills:

  • 2+ years' experience in a medical setting preferred.
  • Dermatology experience a plus.
  • High level of emotional and professional maturity and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Unquestionable work ethic, personal integrity, and honesty.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic environment.
