Position Summary:

The Project Executive shall provide leadership and managerial direction for specific projects assigned to ensure projects are being managed and constructed in a safe and efficient manner. The Project Executives for New England report directly to the Senior Vice President of Construction and to the President for the Southeast operations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Comply with (and actively promote) all Safety policies and procedures including reporting all accidents, incidents, and near-misses to ensure adherence to our Number One Core Value – Safety First in everything we do.
  2. Assist in the planning, staffing, and supervising personnel administration, performance reviews, defining functions, responsibilities, etc.
  3. Either directly or through subordinate managers, ensure all departmental and company policies, procedures and standards are adhered to.
  4. Provide advice, guidance and direction to subordinate managers toward their professional development.
  5. Oversee operations and monitor the overall quantity and quality of work performed.
  6. Meet regularly with Project Managers to review project progress, schedules, budgets and specific issues.
  7. Maintain liaison with subcontractors and vendors and, if needed, assist in the resolution of all issues and problems.
  8. Take part in Project Manager and Engineer personnel transactions (interviewing, hiring, transfers, wages, etc.)
  9. Provide direction for planning, scheduling and engineering functions as required.
  10. Review monthly and quarterly job progress schedules for feasibility and accuracy.
  11. Review correspondence on major issues prior to submission.
  12. Oversee total construction effort to ensure projects assigned are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule.
  13. Ensure projects assigned are in compliance with corporate, state and federal, health and safety laws and regulations.
  14. Assist in the resolution of construction claims for projects assigned.
  15. Maintain liaison with owners and owner’s representatives and assist in the resolution of all disputed issues and problems.
  16. Review 90-day labor and equipment resource schedules with Project Managers and General Superintendent ensure project needs are being met and labor and equipment is being utilized in the most cost effective manner.
  17. Provide management of Design-Build pursuits for specific projects assigned.
  18. Provide input in marketing approach, design and construction approach, participate in the writing of proposal documents, review of Expanded Letter of Intent and Technical proposals and design coordination.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelors or Masters Degree in Civil Engineering or construction-related field.
  2. Minimum of 15 years’ experience in Heavy/Civil Construction Industry.

  2. Team player and with strong interpersonal skills.
  3. Ability to function at a high level in a fast-paced environment.
