OVERVIEW:
Antelope is on the hunt for a dynamic Vice President of Sales to lead our growing independent pet team. As the Vice President of Sales, you will be at the forefront of our strategy to accelerate sales across all brands, with a particular focus on increasing food distribution with key accounts and advancing our footprint in the western region. You will collaborate with distributor partners, develop innovative go-to-market strategies, and unlock new opportunities for cross-selling and customer growth. Your leadership will be instrumental in securing high-profile regional multi-door accounts and scaling our independent pet business to new heights.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Revenue and Distribution:
- Expand all brands across the independent pet channel, with a focus on increasing pet food distribution and growing our presence in the western region.
- Strengthen relationships with distributor partners to unlock cross-selling opportunities and boost customer engagement.
- Secure high-profile regional multi-door accounts and build long-term partnerships.
- Develop and execute innovative go-to-market strategies and promotions to drive growth, market share, and brand visibility.
- Establish and manage sales processes, KPIs, and reporting systems to monitor and optimize performance.
- Leverage data analytics (Salesforce, RNI, Nielsen) to make informed decisions and ensure ROI.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performance sales team, driving a culture of excellence and success.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and onboarding of new team members to maintain a top-performing team.
- Provide ongoing performance management and feedback, guiding the team toward continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and other departments (marketing, finance, operations) to align sales strategies with company objectives.
- Lead forecasting, budgeting, and resource allocation to ensure optimal team performance and resource utilization.
- Proven sales leader with a history of driving growth and consistently exceeding goals in the independent pet channel.
- 3+ years of experience in a Sales Director or VP role.
- Expertise in managing distributor relationships and developing successful go-to-market strategies.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a passion for mentoring, developing, and inspiring top-tier talent.
- Experience in a startup or fast-growth company environment.
- Strong data analytics skills, leveraging tools such as Salesforce and distributor sell-through data to make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and operating independently with limited oversight.
