PURPOSE:  This role is responsible for maintaining and repairing all production and facility equipment as well as performing project work.

 

SCHEDULE: 1st shift Monday through Friday 8am to 4pm 

 

JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES)

 

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems for production machinery and support equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints.
  • Possess good organizational and communication skills.
  • Team-oriented, self-motivated, safety and quality conscious; requiring minimal supervision.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Can operate basic shop equipment (hoist, forklift, scissor lift, etc.)
  • Able to work in confined areas, climb ladders, and work at heights of 50 feet.
  • Able to distinguish colors used in color-coding wires and electronic components.
  • Strength in welding, fabricating, and pipe fitting
  • Ability to install and set up AC and DC drives
  • Be willing to continuously improve technical skills and knowledge. 
  • Be able to understand and interpret the specifications and procedures related to this job.

 

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

 

  • High School Diploma or GED plus 2 years’ related experience and/or training
  • Strong computer literacy with experience in operating HMI’s (touch screens)
  • Experience with SLC, Micro Logiz, Logix 500, Logix 5000, and RSLinx
  • Familiarity with NEC (national electric code) as it applies to industrial applications
