Maintenance Technician Job Description

At Great Wolf Resorts, we are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to oversee the day-to-day engineering operations in our lodge. This role involves project management, general life safety, ordering, and working with vendors. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing preventative maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel guestrooms, public spaces, equipment, buildings, and grounds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
  • Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and all utility shut-offs for buildings.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repair on all types of equipment, plumbing, electrical components, and other guestroom items.
  • Assure each day's activities and problems that occur are communicated to the other shifts using approved communication programs and standards.
  • Ensure that all work performed is conducted in a safe and timely manner adhering to standards of safety and effective equipment utilization.
Requirements:
  • Technical Degree
  • Technical Training
  • Trade Related Certifications
  • Hospitality, Healthcare, or related industry experience
  • Trade related certifications preferred in HVAC and/or Electrical

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They will also have a strong understanding of safety procedures and protocols.
