Job Summary and QualificationsThe Clinical Informaticistis responsible for supporting the implementation of providing ongoing support for corporate/division/facility-wide standardization, utilization, integration, and optimization activities related to the electronic health record and other clinically related technologies. She/he is responsible for coordination, support, and completion of project assessments, project advancements, workflow mapping, tools, and resources focused on Clinical Informatics’ initiatives including but not limited to provider order entry and documentation, standard clinical documentation, Meaningful Use, and other technology that supports clinician workflow.
- Understands pertinent regulatory guidelines such as Joint Commission, HIPAA, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and build strong relationships across a broad range of personality types.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clinical and information technology personnel verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrated customer orientation.
- Excellent leadership and teaching abilities.
- Demonstrated advanced computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Office, including spreadsheets and data analysis experience).
- An understanding, enthusiasm and commitment to the goals of the project.
- Leadership skills to direct others and maintain a common vision for project objectives.
- Ability to motivate and educate others on clinical technologies.
- The ability to communicate with staff at all levels of the practice, as well as with vendors and other outside agents. Must have an interdisciplinary focus.
