We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse Coordinator RN Medical Surgical to join our team at Terre Haute Regional Hospital, a leading acute care facility in Indiana. This role requires a strong leader with experience in nursing and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient-centered care.
**Job Description**
We are seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator RN Medical Surgical to promote growth and unlock possibilities. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring and delivering high-quality patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. You will collaborate with other members of the management team to direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures.
**Key Responsibilities**
• Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient-centered care • Manage Acute Surgical and Medical Oncology, and Flex Staff daily operations, including staffing, supply ordering/inventory, daily rounds, and documentation requirements • Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team • Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service • Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary • Support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives • Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff • Assist with staff scheduling and manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines • Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment
**Requirements**
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification required • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with Associates Degree required and BSN preferred • Current licensure by the Indiana State Board of Nursing as a Registered Professional Nurse or a current Compact State RN license required • At least 3 years of acute care nursing experience required, 2 years of leadership experience in related field preferred • Computer literacy & familiarity with nearly all Microsoft Office products • Proficient oral and written skills
