SUMMARY

The Pharmacy Programs Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the management and coordination of pharmacy-related programs and projects, specifically within the home infusion pharmacy setting. This individual is responsible for organizing and overseeing drug-specific programs, including program setup, staff training, and reporting. Additionally, the Pharmacy Programs Coordinator assists pharmacy leadership in executing various projects related to system design, data collection, cross- departmental communication, and progress tracking to ensure efficient and effective operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

include the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

·Program Management
  • Coordinate and manage drug-specific programs within the specialty home infusion pharmacy.
  • Assist with the setup of new pharmacy programs, including the design and implementation of protocols.
  • Monitor program performance, gather data, and prepare regular reports for leadership.
·Project Support
  • Assist leadership in executing pharmacy projects, ensuring timely completion of deliverables
  • Participate in the design, testing, and optimization of pharmacy systems and workflows
  • Collect and analyze data to support project outcomes and quality improvement initiatives
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation related to project and program outcomes.
·Cross Departmental Communication and Development
  • Become proficient in the activities of a wide range of pharmacy and operational departments in order to assist in communication and process/ project implementation
·Other duties as assigned.
  • This role will likely evolve to include other duties as company needs dictate.

  • Previous experience with pharmacy programs: This role may help negotiate, implement, manage and report on drug and/or therapy specific programs so experience in this type of role is required.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills: In this role, you will be communicating with various departments and staff from front-line to executive level. The role also requires a highly organized individual who can manage multiple tasks and projects effectively. Candidates should have proven experience in managing complex operations and coordinating across different teams and departments.
  • Problem-solving skills: The role involves tackling unforeseen issues and challenges, requiring a candidate with strong problem-solving skills, resilience, and the ability to think on their feet.
  • Flexibility / Adaptability: This role will be involved in a wide array of tasks, programs and projects in a highly dynamic environment so the ability to be flexible, constantly adjust priorities and ensure ownership of the final result is very important.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Educational Background: HighSchool Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelors in related field preferred.
  • Certification: CPhT required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role is required.
