Description

GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project EIT for the Civil and Environmental Business Sector. This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus as well as our flexible hybrid or remote work schedules. The successful candidate will enjoy working in a team-oriented environment that will utilize their college education and past work experience to develop professionally into a well-rounded engineer with the ability to grow in today's environment. Responsibilities of this position will include leading civil site work consisting of design, permitting, and construction activities as well as beginning to establish client management and business development strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Work on energy-related projects
  • Lead civil site engineering tasks
  • Interface with clients on civil site tasks
  • Lead assigned project teams
  • Lead development of civil site proposals
  • Task management on assigned projects (schedules, budgets, and quality of work)
  • Travel overnight to Project sites domestically, as needed. Travel is anticipated at less than 20% monthly.
  • Site Grading Plans
  • Erosion and Sediment Control Plans
  • Stormwater Management Plans
  • Hydrologic and Hydraulic / Drainage Plans
  • Utility Design and Relocation Plans
  • Maintenance and Protection of Traffic Plans
  • Permit Applications (earth disturbance permits, building permits, land development plans, high occupancy permits, etc.)
  • Access Road Section Development
  • Construction Drawings, Specifications, and Quality Control Plans
  • Construction Cost Estimates
  • Owner's Engineer Support During Construction
  • Field Investigations

Qualifications
EducationBachelors of Civil Engineering (required)
Experience6 years: Relevant civil engineering experience. (required)
Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D. (required)
Motivated, focused and positive attitude. (required)
Excellent communication and technical writing skills. (required)
Ability to obtain a Professional Engineering License within 1 year of onboarding. (preferred)
Licenses & CertificationsDriver's License (required)
