This opportunity to join the Department of Pediatrics at the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons at the rank of Associate Professor of Pediatrics at CUMC in the Division of Pediatric Infectious Disease is an exciting one. Associate Professor of Pediatrics at CUMC Reports to Pediatric Infectious Diseases Division Chief This position requires a background in Pediatric Infectious Diseases, with expertise in transplant ID care. Responsibilities will include developing a program to address ID care for transplant and immunocompromised patients, providing general Peds ID inpatient and outpatient coverage, participating in resident and fellowship education, and participating in clinical research. Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The position will be a full-time Columbia University faculty position with full fringe benefits.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have a MD or DO degree and an active NYS Medical License
  • Must be Board certification in Pediatric Infectious Diseases or an equivalent board certification with experience in Infectious Diseases with a clinical training in pediatrics.
  • Consistently strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and sustain effective working relationships with professionals in other disciplines.
  • The ability to create a high-energy results-oriented work environment that encourages colleagues and staff to value each other's contributions; and
  • The ability to share and celebrate success with colleagues and staff.
