Honeyville has immediate job openings for Outside Sales Representatives in Southern California for our Distribution business.

Our outside sales representatives at the forefront of the company's growth and ensuring the complete satisfaction of our customers. As such, it is the responsibility of the Sales Representative to effectively promote the company's products and services utilizing the approach, strategies and tactics prescribed by the Company.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the sales execution of company initiatives to promote Honeyville products and services throughout the designated territory.
  • Strengthen position with existing accounts and penetrate new market segments as well.
  • Identify customer needs and work with other teams to develop product and service options to ensure seamless service and complete satisfaction to the customer.
  • General mastery of consultative selling skills, marketing principles, prospecting, networking, and negotiating.
  • Become a solution provider and knowledge resource to our customers.
  • Establish and communicate pricing and product availability to customer regularly.
  • Understand market conditions and trends, product innovations, and competitors' offerings.
  • Participate in annual company sales meetings, functions, and trainings, as required.
  • Demonstrative ability to work effectively across sales funnel activities including prospecting, qualifying, negotiation, and account penetration.
  • Review and analyze daily and weekly reports such as special-order requests, customer bid files, and sales/gross profit margin data.
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
  • Able to effectively manage time within a schedule of competing priorities and tasks.
  • Work with credit department to communicate policies and assist with collecting past due balances.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Prior Baking / Food Manufacturer Industry experience highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of bakery operations, products, ingredients, raw materials, and baking supplies
  • Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport and credibility with both customers and suppliers.
  • Experience in sales. Understanding of the sales process and dynamics.
  • A commitment to providing superior customer service. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience utilizing enterprise CRM solutions for planning and forecasting sales growth.
  • Valid driver's license and have safe driving record.
  • Maintain sufficient auto insurance per company requirements.
  • Motivated by results, execution, and a "finish line focus."
  • Must reside in Southern California and be able to travel 80~90% of the time within the territory. Limited overnight travel.
  • Experience using computers for a variety of tasks. Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Must be able to satisfy pre-employment testing (drug screen).

Education:

  • HS Diploma and/or GED required; Four year or advanced degrees a plus.

Compensation:

  • Base pay plus generous quarterly commission plan

  • Cell phone device stipend and monthly service reimbursement

Honeyville is a family owed company with more than 70-years of service to the baking and food manufacturing industries. Honeyville boasts manufacturing and distribution locations in Arizona, California, and Utah and employs more than 500 people.


Honeyville's distribution business is comprised of 3 parts: 1) a specialty grain milling operation located in Honeyville, Utah (the company's namesake) creating healthy whole grain products, 2) a wholesale distribution business consists of corn, flour and oil we process ourselves and other re-sale products we buy and "re-sale" and 3) a heat treatment unit that provides a 5-log microbial kill step for grains, flour, spices and powders that won't undergo a kill step this reducing potential risk of illness for consumers.


Honeyville's manufacturing business is referred to as the Mix/Contract Manufacturing (Co-Man) business and includes all activities related to the manufacturing of OEM brands for large CPG companies or private label of blended or straight pack of bulk and consumer-ready products for retailers or foodservice applications. Activities are performed in Ogden, UT and Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Honeyville has invested a substantial amount of capital into this business category in anticipation of high future growth.
