Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Ambulatory Care Operations the Senior Assistant Vice President of Care Models will split their time between Central Office Ambulatory Care and clinical work. This role will require clinical time at one of NYC Health + Hospitals acute facilities or at a Gotham site for no more than .2 FTE.

The Senior Assistant Vice President of Care Models will:
  • Lead and manage team that designs, implements, & evaluates clinical service delivery models and innovative funding mechanisms that improve care for people experiencing structural barriers (such as homelessness and criminal-legal involvement) that impede access to the traditional healthcare system; this includes the initiatives such as Street Health Outreach & Wellness, Safety Net, Point of Reentry Transition.
  • Direct the grant-funded AfterCare program, which connects people living with Long COVID to resources and educates the public and professionals on this emerging condition.
  • Represent these programs in conversations with other Central Office teams as well as City & State agency partners, community-based organizations, academic institutions, & other external parties
  • Perform other duties as needed, such as liaising to Central Office Recruitment workgroup on behalf of primary care

Minimum Qualifications
1. Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Hospital Administration, Health Care Planning, Business Administration, Public Administration or an approved related program and seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in health and medical service administration, public administration, personnel and labor relations, finance or appropriate functional discipline with an emphasis on planning, liaison and interorganizational relationships, or related administrative or managerial functions; or
2. A satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training and experience. However, all candidates must have a minimum of a Master's degree, in disciplines as listed in 1 above.
