Job Description
Responsibilities:
* Participates in the provision of patient care based on appropriate training and acuity of patient care needs.
* Performs patient care within scope of practice as defined by State and National levels as well as Community Health Systems approved skills and competencies.
* Ensures a safe, comfortable, therapeutic environment for patients and families and collaborates with the care team in contribution to quality outcomes.
Requirements:
* High school diploma or GED.
* Graduate from an accredited program in paramedic science.
* One year paramedic experience.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required along with moderate knowledge of medical terminology.
* Current certifications in PHTLS and/or ITLS preferred.
* BLS required upon hire.
* ACLS and PALS required within in 6 months.
* Certificate of Completion of a formal program that meets regulatory standards in Conflict resolution, de-escalation and teaches physical intervention techniques. Must have on hire or obtained within 90 days of hire (I.e. MOAB, CPI or equivilent)
