Paramedic Ambulance Job Description
Respond to emergency calls promptly and provide advanced life support to patients.
Assess patient conditions, administer medication, and perform medical procedures, including intubation and IV placement.
Operate and maintain advanced medical equipment on the ambulance.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Document patient care and treatment details accurately.
Ensure the ambulance is stocked, clean, and in good working order.
Paramedic Ambulance Requirements
Indiana State Paramedic License or National Registry Paramedic Certification required, with the ability to obtain an unrestricted state license within 30 days of hire.
Must acquire Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA) within 20 days of hire.
This role involves frequent standing, walking, talking, listening, and the ability to lift or move objects weighing over 100 pounds.
Candidates must hold a valid driver’s license and meet the hospital’s liability insurance requirements.
