Clean Energy is an energy planning and project management group providing owner’s representative services to public agencies and private organizations focused on renewable energy, clean transportation and decarbonization. We work with all clean energy and transportation technologies, with an emphasis on solar photovoltaic, battery storage, battery electric vehicles and charging infrastructure, fuel cells, and microgrids. Clean Energy’s projects encompass energy master planning, mid-to-large scale behind-the-meter generation, storage and microgrid projects, distributed generation front-of-meter projects, and fleet transition in the clean transportation space. Historically, our work has primarily been in the western US, however we have a growing portfolio of projects across the US.We are seeking a candidate for the position of Implementation Manager, with client-facing management experience leading design, construction, and commissioning (Cx) of clean energy and transportation projects.The successful candidate will be located in California and will be required to travel to Clean Energy’s San Rafael office and customer sites as necessary.ResponsibilitiesServe as project manager to develop scope, schedule, budget and ensure successful project delivery for a variety of renewable energy and clean transportation projects during the implementation and commissioning phases.Provide design review, construction management, and commissioning verification work.Review contractor submittals for conformance with NV5 specifications. Engage with clients as the primary contact for the NV5 project team. Convey overall project status to clients by means of oral discussions, presentations, and project reports.Support internal NV5 project controls and performance, such as fees and proposals, staffing, invoicing, accounts receivable, and client satisfaction. Responsible for the effective management of your own time and effort.Manage internal and external project teams including planners, architects, consulting engineers, contractors, vendors, and consultants. Occasional travel within the United States to attend client and NV5/Clean Energy meetings. Approximately 25-35% of time will be spent traveling. QualificationsRequired Skills and Experience5 years of experience in Project and/or Construction Management Strong working knowledge of clean energy and transportation Energy Procurement and Construction (EPC) projects or similar.Comprehensive understanding of electricity and how to communicate effectively about electrical systems with client, contractors, engineers, utility representatives and AHJ staff.Depth of knowledge related to general construction means, methods and typical practices/installations. Structural, Soils, Electrical, Framing, Racking, Civil, Mechanical etc.Strong coordination skills working with construction managers, contractors, and client staff.Passion for clean energy project performance, including EV/EVSE, solar PV, battery storage, and microgrids.Ability to track and complete project work under accelerated schedules.Record of successfully managing complex clean energy projects.Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Project). Strong written/verbal communication skills.Ability to manage multiple complex tasks in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Skills and ExperienceExperience developing and conveying reports to public or private entities.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related technical field such as construction management, project management, or engineering.Advanced Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills; familiarity with SmartSheet.The pay range for this position in California is $120,000 - 145,000 per year. Base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
