Punahou School is actively recruiting an Administrative Assistant to join the Admissions team. The Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to the department management and/or staff to include, but not limited to: greeting visitors (internal and/or external), coordinating and scheduling meetings, managing paperwork, maintaining files and records, handling department mail, data entry, word processing, and making copies. The Administrative Assistant will compose and respond to routine correspondences. This individual is part of an energetic, dynamic and mission-driven team that plays a key role in the recruitment, admission, and enrollment of a diverse, highly qualified student body and in shaping first impressions and the ongoing experiences of families throughout the admission process. Multiple levels available depending on the candidate's background, skillset, and experience.

Position Details:

  • Work Year: 12 Months
  • Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Schedule may vary based on operational needs
  • Starting Hourly Rate: $19.95/hour

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school or equivalent.
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education, experience and training.
  • Two (2) years of administrative experience.
  • Experience working in a school environment preferred.
  • Proficiency with using Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Webex, Microsoft Teams. Working knowledge of relational databases and student information systems.
  • Must have flexible thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
