Summary Description: As the Director of Total Rewards at Colorado College, you will lead the formulation and implementation of our total rewards strategy, emphasizing compensation and benefits. Your role will involve partnering with the Vice President of People and Workplace Culture and other campus stakeholders to design competitive compensation packages and enhance our employee benefits. With your strategic vision and execution capabilities, you will play a vital role in driving our institution's success through the optimization of our rewards programs.

What we Offer:
As part of the total compensation for this role, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including:

Anticipated Salary Range: $103,194 to $141,892 per year

Responsibilities:

  • Work with key stakeholders to determine multi-year strategy to implement critical investments and process changes to continually enhance CC’s total rewards offerings so they are affordable, competitive, and aligned with the college’s objectives, including our antiracism commitment.
  • Identify total rewards trends and practices through participation in salary surveys and reviewing other data sources to offer findings and recommendations to decision makers.
  • Develop communication strategies that will create and enhance awareness, understanding, and appreciation among employees of the college’s total rewards programs.
  • Help select and mange relationships with key vendors to offer sustainable and meaningful offerings to our employees.
  • Act as thought partner for day-to-day compensation and benefits decisions such as offers to meet organizational needs while providing equity and appropriate transparency.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal laws and regulations related to total rewards by maintaining awareness of changing expectations, updating and implementing policies as needed, and conducting audits and other mandatory processes.

Additional Responsibilities:

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field plus a minimum of 5 years’ experience in total rewards. Experience partnering with others to enhance total rewards practices to meet organizational needs. Demonstrated leadership, change management, consulting and influencing skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Higher education experience, CCP, CBP, CEBS, and/or SPHR certification.
