DescriptionHead of Capital Management & LiquidityStamford, CT, USA or London, England, UKThe Head of Capital Management & Liquidity is responsible for managing the capital and liquidity position of the AXA XL Division of AXA Group. The functions reports to the Chief Reporting & Capital Officer (“CRCO”). The position requires a robust Capital Management background, balance sheet management experience and the ability to effectively interact with the AXA XL Finance Leadership Team and Risk Committees along with multiple areas within the company (Risk, Investments, Finance and the Corporate Actuary). The other key responsibility will be (working closely with AXA Group in) managing the Rating Agencies.DISCOVER your opportunity What will your essential responsibilities include?·        Capital Allocation Process including:·        Optimization of the capital structure (debt and equity) to provide a low cost, flexible capital model to the businesses that allows for value accretion·        Running a structured capital allocation process with all the Regions and providing standard tools and projections for local capital management purposes·        Development and recommendations to the CFO & CRCO regarding capital return and cash remittance programs to the AXA Group including dividend policy recommendations, internal loan Capacity and alternative capital return actions·        Coordinate with Finance on the utilization of economic models to analyze business/product returns·        Maintain banking relationships - both commercial and capital markets for daily operations and credit facilities·        Peer Analysis/Comparisons to assess best practices·        Balance Sheet Management including:·        Manage Balance Sheet Liquidity through monitoring all sources and uses of liquidity including the forecasting of future sources and uses against designated thresholds to ensure sufficient funds are available to meet cash flow needs·        Manage the Available Capital for the Bermuda Solvency Capital Requirement (“BSCR”) Calculation and Available Capital for the Solvency II Calculation on a quarterly basis as we all responsible for ·        Produce reporting Available Capital of the Key AXA XL Subsidiaries and Branches under the various regulatory regimes (including, but not limited to CBI, PRA, Lloyd’s, BMA, FINMA and NYDFS) and support Regional CFOs in their responsibilities·        Manage liquidity requirements – definition, forecasting and reporting of the liquidity requirements ·        Report liquidity positions quarterly to the Investment and Risk Management Committee·        Peer Analysis/Comparisons to assess best practices·        Managing Agency Relationships including:·        Coordinate the annual agency rating process and Maintain solid ongoing relationship with ratings agencies·        Update Agencies prior to any announcements (i.e., earnings, anticipated changes to capital structure, etc.)·        Update AXA XL Board and Risk Committees periodically on agency relationships and communicate any developmentsYou will report to the Chief Reporting and Capital Officer.QualificationsSHARE your talentWe’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:·        A bachelor's or master's degree with emphasis on economics, business, from a leading university is ideal·        Chartered Accountant (“FCA”) or similar qualification·        Extensive relevant financial institutions experience ·        Solid property and casualty insurance and financial modelling and analysis experience·        Keen understanding of the capital allocation and liquidity management processes·        Ability to effectively communication across functional lines and organization including senior management leadership and stakeholder management skills ·        Outstanding modelling/analytical skills and ability to reconcile IFRS output with GAAP (as it pertains to excess/deficient capital) ·        Demonstrated work ethic and attention to detail, in corporate finance positionFIND your futureAXA XL, the P&C and specialty risk division of AXA, is known for solving complex risks.
