The ideal candidate for this position will have the following:

* A minimum of a Bachelors degree in Dietetics, Food and Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition, Public Health or related field.
* Minimum of one year of experience as RD; preferable in the long-term care industry.
* Ability to travel weekly in the greater Killeen, TX market.

Position Overview:

* Review Monthly weights and chart on variances.
* Chart on any abnormal labs.
* Chart on monthly Pressure Ulcers, Tube Feedings, Dialysis
* Conduct monthly in-service with dietary staff, complete agenda, and sign-in sheet.
* Obtain resident council minutes and address any concerns.
* Conduct monthly inspection and report findings to QAPI.
* Attend monthly QAPI meeting.
* Review emergency food supplies- rotate and replace items routinely.
* Ensure diet orders match current physician orders for all PO diets.
* Complete quarterly notes based on care plan schedule.
* Must have the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, of the Food Services Department
* Must be able to read and interpret food service cost reports, financial data.
* Assist in menu planning.
