The Patient Access Representative s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, interviewing patients to obtain demographic and insurance information and registration into the EPIC system. The Patient Access Representative will see patients on the inpatient floors to review required documentation and to obtain necessary signatures, resolve demographic and insurance edits, and to provide patients with estimates on potential financial responsibilities and collect payments.
Position Requirements:
+ High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
+ Prior experience with hospital Patient Access/Registration and EPIC preferred.
+ Knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurance preferred.
+ Successful completion of New Hire Orientation, Revenue Cycle training and Department Specific Orientation required.
