Patient Access Representative- Patient Access Services- Per Diem Day

Job Overview:
The Patient Access Representative accurately and promptly collects all pertinent information at the initial point of registration to ensure the proper billing process occurs.
Qualifications:
Required:
High School Diploma or GEDPreferred:
Prior experience with hospital Patient Access/Registration and EPIC Knowledge of medical terminology and medical insuranceCertifications and Licenses Required:
N/AScheduling Requirements:
Day shift Saturday rotation Per diem, following a period of orientation and trainingEssential Functions:
Interviews patient and or family to complete registration Obtain/confirm all demographic and financial information is complete and accurate. Obtain and copy ID and insurance cards. Complete and copy all consent forms Accurately complete the Medicare Secondary payer questionnaire (MSP) Answers department phones quickly and relays all messages Collect deposits, deductibles and co-pays so as to meet required cash targets Maintain the required productivity and accuracy percentage as specified for job level Obtain Advance Medical Directive information, patient specific Adheres to patient rights: provides for the confidential treatment of all communications and recordsOther Duties:
