Above all, we believe that collaboration is the best way forward.In the role of New England Water Business Group Manager, we'll count on you to:Take responsibility for operations including staff development, profitability, morale, quality control and marketing supportFunction as a Client and Project Manager by taking responsibility for client service and project delivery in addition to management responsibilitiesTake administrative responsibility for section staff and technical service functions, and lead and coordinate services with other sectionsBe directly involved in business development planning, proposals and interviewsBe directly involved with municipal, private water, and federal water clients in marketing, project production and related issuesSee that all work is planned, organized, controlled and evaluated through proactive project management systemImplement, monitor and support company policySelect, train, develop and manage technical personnelManage and develop multidiscipline teamsWork cooperatively with other Business Group Managers and Area Client Development staffPerform other duties as neededYou will report to the Area Manager who is based in Boston, MA. The role is driven to execute the annual business plan of the New England Water Business Group. Primary location for the position is Boston, but will consider candidates in other HDR New England locations (Manchester, Glastonbury, Portland, Providence) who have significant Massachusetts/Boston client focus. Primary Roles and Responsibilities:Controlling - Responsible for the operational metrics for the Area Water Business Group.Staffing - Assist in prioritization of hires, identification and recruiting of candidates.Client Management Leadership & Assistance - Collaborate with staff in the definition and engagement strategy for clients within the AreaAlignment of Resources - Coordinate the alignment of internal resources to the needs of our clients and the achievement of goalsStrategic Planning - Assist in development of annual strategic planning effortSecondary Responsibilities:NFB and Marketing Cost Tracking - Monitor and communicate progress toward period and annual net fee book bookings goals. Work closely with client development leadership to observe trends, adjust projections and make required alterations to plan in an effort to achieve year over year goals and cost management targets.Other Initiatives: The candidate will be encouraged to expand HDR branding in the area and attend civic functions such as NEWEA, AWWA, and other functions to interact and establish/maintain client relationships.
