Summary You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST of NAVDRUGLAB JAX FL
Duties
• You will review and evaluate budget request.
• You will formulate budgets and estimates to support plans programs and activities.
• You will perform administrative work in connection with accounting systems.
• You will utilize precedents, policies, regulations and guidelines of a functional area for financial oversight, budget formulation.
• You will resolve commonly encountered work problems

Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
• Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
• Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
• This is a bargaining unit position.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty
Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required
A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test
You will be subject to random testing.
• This is a Financial Management Level I certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d
You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines
Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites
You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment
Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
• Experience utilizing integrated accounting data systems such as WAWF and/or Navy ERP for accurate and efficient financial reports.
* Experience examining financial documentation for accuracy, adequacy and compliance with regulations.
* Experience formulating budgets, programs, and activities.
* Experience applying financial functions, goals, and funding sources to accounting issues.
* Experience identifying, analyzing, and resolving complex finance concerns.
* Experience maintaining financial systems for data reporting purposes

Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree
OR
Possession of an LL.B
or J.D
that is related to this position being filled
