This position works from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities:

* Leads orientation and training for new hires, students and other medical personnel; ensures competencies are completed in the required time frame. Responsible for offering remediation with sonographers when necessary.
* Performs ultrasound diagnostic examinations in accordance with Level I and Level II Advanced sonographer.
* Assists in talent acquisition interviews for successful recruitment of sonographer candidates and provides feedback for annual performance reviews.
* May be responsible for High Level Disinfection of devices, supplies and/or equipment.
* Coordinates daily workflow and schedule of the department while maintaining staffing levels based on, but not limited to, call offs, vacations, patient volumes, and training needs.
* Assists with quality assurance projects and assists in the development of exam protocols alongside of or in place of advanced sonographers and communicates results back to departmental leadership.
* Assumes the leadership role in the absence of the supervisor.

Qualifications:

* Completion of formal training in an Ultrasound program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) required.
* 3 years of ultrasound experience required. Performance review consistent with minimum of strong/Solid performance on last performance review.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

RDMS Registered required. CPR or BLS Preferred. CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.

* Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
* Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
* Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
* Act 33 with renewal
* Act 34
* Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
