In addition to performing imaging procedures at an advanced level, coordinates workflow, assists with projects and coordinates educational activities. Functions as a working technologist and distributes workload to ensure efficient operations.

This position works from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday.

**Responsibilities:**

+ Leads orientation and training for new hires, students and other medical personnel; ensures competencies are completed in the required time frame. Responsible for offering remediation with sonographers when necessary.

+ Performs ultrasound diagnostic examinations in accordance with Level I and Level II Advanced sonographer.

+ Assists in talent acquisition interviews for successful recruitment of sonographer candidates and provides feedback for annual performance reviews.

+ May be responsible for High Level Disinfection of devices, supplies and/or equipment.

+ Coordinates daily workflow and schedule of the department while maintaining staffing levels based on, but not limited to, call offs, vacations, patient volumes, and training needs.

+ Assists with quality assurance projects and assists in the development of exam protocols alongside of or in place of advanced sonographers and communicates results back to departmental leadership.

+ Assumes the leadership role in the absence of the supervisor.

+ Completion of formal training in an Ultrasound program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) required.

+ 3 years of ultrasound experience required. Performance review consistent with minimum of strong/Solid performance on last performance review. **Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:** RDMS Registered required. CPR or BLS Preferred. CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.

+ Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

+ Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)

+ Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal

+ Act 33 with renewal

+ Act 34

+ Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
