Duties * Serves as the Deputy Director, Chief Information Office/G6 of Enterprise IT for an Army Special Operations Command (USASOC). * Plans, programs, budgets, and executes Brigade fiscal resources to support Mission Command Network Systems (MCNS) operational requirements in deployed and enterprise environments. * Assists in the planning, coordination, and conflict resolution of the work schedules within the working groups. * Coordinates with Service and Government Laboratories, civilian industry, and academia to ensure and maintain awareness of their focus on unique special operations technology needs. * Routinely coordinates with flag level senior leaders through formal presentation regarding details of technical solutions, associated resourcing, and authorization of use. * Provides executive guidance, management advice and oversight of developmental MCNS. Requirements Conditions of Employment * Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. * Two year trial/probationary period may be required. * In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter. * Employee must have and be able to maintain TOP SECRET security clearance with Special Intelligence Access as a result of current and/or favorable Special Background Investigation. * Performs 5% temporary duty travel (TDY). * Required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450. *For more information, please see "Additional Information" below. * This position is designated KEY. *For more information, please see "Qualifications" below. Specialized experience is defined as working with three (3) or more of the following: 1. Developing IT policies and procedures governing the planning and delivery of information technology services. 2. Providing guidance and leadership in the planning and integration of information technology requirements. 3. Experience in transitioning legacy IT systems and services into modern, contemporary IT technologies, methodologies, and services. 4. Experience creating affiliations with interagency government organizations. 5. Programming process experience analyzing short and long-term objectives and properly allocating funding against requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GG/GS-13). In addition to the specialized experience listed above, your resume must show you have Information Technology-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies as defined: (1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
