Summary/Objective

Provides support to the Wire Department for processing incoming and outgoing wire transfers. Acts as a resource for customers, department, and branch staff.


Essential Functions

  • Reviews, approves, records and transmits wire transfer information via the bank and Federal Reserve systems in accordance with policy and procedures.
  • Provides assistance to customers and bank employees regarding wire transfer transactions.
  • Helps monitor daily workflow to ensure timely and accurate completion of all tasks within established time- lines and policies and procedures.
  • Assists in reviewing and approving daily work.
  • Assists with preparation of various logs and daily and monthly reports. Reviews for accuracy.
  • Assists in bank settlement via balancing procedures.
  • Fulfills document and reporting requests management, auditors and examiners as needed.
  • Provides staff training on wire department standard operating procedures.
  • Coaches staff and provides feedback regarding performance issues.
  • Keeps up-to-date on banking rules and regulations to maintain proficient knowledge and awareness of regulatory developments and industry trends.
  • Complies with all policies and procedures as applied to the Bank’s BSA/AML Policy.
  • Reviews and updates department procedures as directed by the department Manager.
  • Acts as the department Manager in their absence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Strong analytical skills.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years’ experience as a Wire Transfer Specialist or similar operations related experience.
  • Supervisory experience desired.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Salary Grade = 4


Supervisory Responsibility

This position has supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Office environment with job duties conducted via telephone, face to face meetings, and on the computer.

Physical Demands

This position requires manual dexterity, the ability to lift files and opening cabinets. This position requires bending, stooping or standing as necessary.

Travel

Travel may be required for this position.
