Location: Beavercreek, OH - Hybrid may be optional Security Clearance: Secret, Sec+ : 8570 The DevSecOps Engineer will gather requirements, design, codify, integrate and implement secure solutions that support business functionality as well as the underlying infrastructure required to run and deploy those solutions. High-level job requirements/responsibilities include: Develop, document, and implement CI/CD strategy for management of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) baseline Develop, document, and implement container management strategy to include management of container security and automated validation of immutable CI pipeline components for compliance with DoD standards processes Develop and document shared infrastructure component management strategy to provide consistent standardized container, OS, and application baselines for infrastructure components available through self-service Identify requirements, develop, document, and implement branching strategy to support change management Requirements while automating as much of the deployment process as practical in the (IaC) CI/CD pipeline Lead small teams and projects Development skills to solve problems and deliver solutions Interpersonal skills POSITION REQUIREMENTS Basic Qualifications Work as part of a team throughout the software development life cycle Collaborate with designers and analysts to provide engineering and/or sustainment services in development, security and operations activities Responsible for estimating the size of stories, designing solutions, developing code and automated tests, creating deployment scripts, managing code in production, and managing any database solutions Provide system monitoring solutions for solution-related application, network, and/or production issues Continuously develop, and maintain system documentation Debug, test, and fix errors Conduct end-to-end testing, and integration Conduct code reviews to ensure compliance with team-established standards Accurately estimate level of effort to deliver proposed solutions Proven ability to work across multiple functional teams in the creation of an application development process Dedication to sharing/communicating best practices, improving processes within/across sprint teams, mentoring junior team members where needed Ability to problem-solve independently and self-prioritize work while adhering to project goals Required:
- 5+ years Linux experience (Linux Systems Engineer)
- Application administration and configuration
- Application troubleshooting skills required
- Web Server administration and configuration
- Web Server troubleshooting skills required
- Bash Scripting experience
- Network administration and configuration
- Firewalls
- Network troubleshooting
- Strong understanding of TLS/SSL process
- Ability to troubleshoot network connections via Linux CLI
- STIG remediation
- Backups
- 2+ years AWS Administration (AWS SysOps Administrator Associate certification recommended)
- EC2 instances administration and configuration
- EBS administration and snapshots
- RDS administration and snapshots
- CloudWatch administration and configuration
- ALB administration and configuration
- Security group administration and configuration
- S3 Bucket administration
- Backup procedures within AWS
- 1+ year basic DB administration and SQL abilities for troubleshooting (managing DB accounts, select statements, where clauses, ability to read and understand SQL scripts, etc.)
- 1+ year Windows Server administration and configuration
- User administration
- Firewall configuration
- Application administration and configuration
- STIG remediation
- ACAS remediation
- 1+ year Configuration Management experience for documentation and installation/configuration instructions
- 1+ year experience with many of the following: Jenkins, Ansible, JSON, YAML, CSV, XML, HTML, API connections, automation, DoD, Python, Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, GIT, ACAS, SCAP, PKI, MFA, SSO, SAML, SonarQube Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field 2+ years experience as a DevSecOps Engineer 7+ years experience in IT Nice to Haves Security-related certifications (AWS Certified Security Specialty, CISSP, CSSLP, CCSP, Security+, etc) Experience participating in security-related roles within the SDLC Experience securing microservices or Service-Oriented Architectures (SOA) Experience securing REST and APIs Experience supporting compliance efforts Experience working with Atlassian products (JIRA, Bitbucket, Confluence) ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION At HumanIT, we are driven by honesty, integrity and hard work.
