Sr Principal Radar

Leidos Defense Systems is seeking a talented Sr PrincipalRadar/Signal Processing Engineer to join our Dayton, Ohio office. The candidate will join a diverse team primarily focused the modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) of aerospace weapons, sensors, and related command-and-control entities.The candidate must have interest or experience in the scientific design and computational analysis of radars (ground-based or airborne), missile seekers, and aircraft sensors. The candidate will work with a highly technical team of engineers to design and implement firmware and software for RF software-in-the-loop (SIL) and hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) simulators. Most of the work supports the Scientific and Technical Intelligence community (NASIC, NSIC, MSIC, NGIC, ONI) and the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Sensors Directorate. This challenging position requires a diverse set of technical and task management skills and allows for the opportunity to contribute immediately to important, meaningful work.Qualifications:Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other closely related field from an accredited institute with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.Solid understanding of radar, digital signal processing (DSP), and/or RF communication theory with technical work experience supporting radar, electronic warfare (EW), and/or DSP projectsSolid C/C++ coding experience/abilities with understanding of object-oriented software principlesTechnical leadership experienceCandidate must have strong written communication skills, possess good people skills, demonstrate strong attention to detail and have the desire to work on a highly focused technical team of engineers, analysts, and scientists.Candidate must be a resident of the Dayton, OH area or be willing to relocate to the Dayton, OH area.Desired Skills:Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other closely related field is a plusWorking knowledge of ELINT and/or SIGINTExperience with RFSoC / VHDL / FPGA design practices and toolsSecurity Requirements:Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Top Secret/SSBI Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Final Top Secret Clearance.Original Posting Date:2024-02-13While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.Pay Range:Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
