Program Analyst (Production Monitoring Analyst) We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Program Analyst (Production Monitoring Analyst) to join our team in the Washington DC Area. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience and knowledge of multiple information technology systems and activities aimed at improving or enhancing internal processes. They should possess strong analytical skills to examine systems and processes, extrapolate solutions, and make recommendations based on data analysis. Technical proficiency in relevant languages and development tools is required, along with a thorough understanding of structured programming principles, system analysis techniques, system design, industry-standard testing principles, and system implementation. Program Analyst (Production Monitoring Analyst) Responsibilities Include: * Conduct and monitor technical systems, including triaging and communicating problems and issues with little to no supervision, and escalate appropriately when necessary * Perform thorough problem analysis regarding technical systems and application programs, document findings, and propose problem resolution alternatives * Utilize tools such as Splunk and AppDynamics to perform root cause analysis * Create incident management tickets in IRS Problem Management System (KISAM) and manage problem management tickets to completion * Collaborate with development teams and other partners to identify root cause and remediation steps * Stay abreast of new technology trends and incorporate relevant applications into monitoring processes * Comprehend complex architecture designs and leverage debugging techniques, logs, and tools (e.g., Splunk, AppDynamics, Ops Bridge, Eclipse Memory Analyzer) to diagnose environmental and application issues * Provide consistent monitoring during identified production support core hours * Coordinate with Functional Development Teams (FDTs) to determine necessary support for production problem resolution * Engage FDTs and product owners when necessary * Communicate effectively, troubleshoot issues, analyze data, and recommend new dashboards to assist in monitoring * Understand and work within the entire WebApps system * Lead incident triage calls when necessary * Performs other job-related duties as assigned Program Analyst (Production Monitoring Analyst) Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested: * Bachelor's degree in a related field. * An Active Public Trust or the ability to obtain one is required * Strong analytical skills with the ability to examine systems and processes and propose solutions based on data analysis * 2+ years of related experience * Technical proficiency in relevant languages and development tools * Thorough understanding of structured programming principles, system analysis techniques, system design, industry-standard testing principles, and system implementation * Experience with tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, Ops Bridge, and Eclipse Memory Analyzer * Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams * Proactive approach to problem-solving and troubleshooting * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision * Prior experience in production monitoring is preferred * Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal Company Information: Cherokee Nation Soution Link (CNSL) is a part of Cherokee Federal - the division of tribally owned federal contracting companies owned by Cherokee Nation Businesses.
