We are hiring a Senior AWS Data Engineer for our client . This is long term contact and his 100 % remote opputtuty.

Role: Senior AWS Data Engineer

Primary Skills: MySQL, AWS RDS/AWS Aurora, S3, Glue/ Athena S3, Redshift, SQS.

Job Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience working in AWS using S3, Glue, Athena S3 and Redshift.
  • Experience in Perform Design, Hands on development & Deployment using AWS Services ( S3, AWS Glue, Lambda, Python, EC2 and SQL)
  • Understanding of data transformations, cleansing, and deduplications.
  • Solid proficiency in SQL.
  • Experience in optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources.
  • Experience in creating Technical Specification Design, Application Interface Design.
  • Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and build out new Data Source integrations to support continuing increases in data volume and complexity.
  • Experience building and optimizing data pipelines and data sets.
  • Must possess good client-facing experience with the ability to facilitate requirements sessions and lead teams.
  • Collaborate and engage with BI & analytics and business teams.
  • Experience with AWS Aurora MySQL / RDS MySQL.
  • Prior experience on SSIS, writing Stored Procedures, SQL / TSQL on SQL Server.
  • Experience with JSON formatted data.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git).
  • Ability to identify, troubleshoot and resolve production data integrity and performance issues.
  • Proficient in writing technical specifications and documentation.
  • A solid understanding of relational database architecture, including primary/foreign keys/constraints.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to independently multi-task, be a self-starter in a fast-paced environment, communicate fluidly and dynamically with the team and perform continuous process improvements with out of the box thinking

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with AWS Lambda
  • Demonstrable ability in data modelling.
  • Experience with AWS Batch, CLI, IAM Roles & Policies, SQS (Simple Queue Service) and/or Step Functions.

Education Qualification:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, information technology or business information systems or related field
