Job Description BAE Systems is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for an exciting opportunity developing new capabilities for the Sentinel ICBM weapon system at Hill Air Force Base (AFB), Utah. This position will provide expert engineering support to assist the government customer develop requirements for a highly complex program. This new ICBM program will design, develop, produce, and deploy new payload system suites (reentry vehicles and/or countermeasures). The key payload attributes include enhancements in accuracy, lethality, and ICBM Reentry System/Reentry Vehicle (RS/RV) interoperable operations. Program activities will also include the employment of digital acquisitions through the application of digital engineering, agile software development, and open systems architectures. Responsibilities include * Provide technical advice to Government leaders and engineers. * Support requirements development, analysis of alternatives, verification and validation activities, and milestone preparation. * Prepare/review engineering analysis reports and key acquisition documents, including RFP packages. * Participate in technical interchange meetings, design reviews, program management reviews, certification working groups, and other technical meetings, as required. Supports Program Manager in the execution of their duties. Provides highly technical expertise and guidance in solving complex hardware/software engineering problems. Provides technical leadership of all phases of hardware/software design analysis, development, integration, and implementation. Capable of determining appropriate use of technologies in solving engineering problems. #ASFS Required Education, Experience, & Skills * Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline with 7+ years of Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering experience or master's degree in engineering or related technical discipline with 5+ years of Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering experience. * 3+ years of progressive responsibility in providing technical leadership. * Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance. Due to its special-access, classified working environment, this position is only located at Hill AFB, Utah, and is not conducive to telework schedules. Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills The ideal candidate will have most of the following experience: * Experience as an aerospace/mechanical engineer on a missile system or complex weapon system (especially ACAT I program or ICBM-related experience). Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $103590 - $176130 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
