Overview:

We are seeking two entry-level Hardware Asset Management Specialists to join our team and assist with transitioning 550 end users from virtual machines to physical laptops. This role involves managing inventory, scheduling appointments, and providing remote setup support to end users. The position requires excellent communication and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • User Transition Support: Call end users to schedule and conduct 15-minute remote setup sessions for new laptops.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records in ServiceNow, support onsite inventory levels, and assist with packing and shipping of products.
  • Record Keeping: Update system records and maintain spreadsheets for scheduling and inventory tracking.
  • Customer Interaction: Provide guidance and support over the phone, including helping users with Outlook sign-in and basic laptop setup.
  • Day-to-Day Operations: Perform data entry, print shipping labels, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations related to hardware asset management.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Excel Proficiency: Utilize Excel for managing user schedules and maintaining inventory lists.
  • ServiceNow Usage: Learn and use ServiceNow for inventory management and record updates.
  • Physical Tasks: Regularly lift and move objects weighing 10-50 lbs, ensuring proper storage and availability of inventory.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with a team of 6 individuals, contributing to a busy and consistent work environment.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer Service: Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Phone Skills: Proficiency in phone etiquette and the ability to engage users effectively over the phone.
  • Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.

  • Technical Comfort: Familiarity with Windows laptops and basic troubleshooting.

Preferred Experience:

  • Helpdesk Experience: Previous experience in a helpdesk or customer support role is a plus.
