Duties * You will assist with designing and fabricating prototype hardware. * You will test vehicles and test support equipment for life support. * You will operate conventional and CNC lathes in accordance with customer requirements. * You will determine the appropriate manufacturing material to meet the weight and size requirements. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. * You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination. Qualifications DT-03 :Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DT-02 (GS 5-8 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Assisting with designing and fabricating prototype hardware; 2) Working with and/or developing new life support equipment; 3) Collaborating, coordinating, and communicating effectively with team members, engineers, customers and management, to assure all approved procedures for testing are followed; and 4) Ability to proficiently perform welding operations with a variety of methods including MIG (GMAW), Arc (SMAW) and TIG.
