Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) performing command and control of emergency incidents; 2) Leading day to day operations for assigned shift providing guidance on firefighter related procedures; 3) Fighting structural, shipboard, and/or airfield fires using pre-fire planning methods and knowledge of layouts and design; 4) Operating firefighting emergency vehicles and equipment; 5) Providing hazardous material incident response; and, 6) Providing basic life support procedures as needed for each emergency call.
