Job Description Join a dynamic and well-versed security team that provides support across several business areas within BAE Systems' Electronic Systems. BAE Systems is hiring the Security Manager I with oversight of multiple programs executed out of the Electronic Systems San Diego, CA campus. This position will have direct oversight over assigned security staff, working closely with security management on all aspects of special program security. Tasks include, but are not limited to:
* Interpret then enforce internal or external security policies, providing direction and guidance to program personnel.
* Interface with program managers and maintain liaison with US Government Program Security Officers.
* Provide prime/subcontractor security support and direction including the development and maintenance of DD254's and security guidance.
* Develop and revise program level security plans, procedures and instructions.
* Provide classification guidance to employees, develop and provide security education and awareness training, conduct security briefings, lead security self-inspections and audits, and investigate security incidents.
* Attract, hire and retain a high-performing team of world-class talent.
* Management of personnel, their workloads and their development plans for future growth.
* Support to other security disciplines within the SAP/SCI program to include: Personnel Security, Physical Security, Information Assurance (IA), Communications Security (COMSEC), Document Control and Visitor Control. Candidate must be able to respond to after hour alarms on a rotational schedule.
Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time. Required Education, Experience, & Skills * Bachelor's Degree and 7 years work experience or 10 years of experience in lieu of degree
* Must have a TS/SCI clearance, with ability to access Special Access Programs. Individual must be able to successfully pass a Counter Intelligence Polygraph
* Must demonstrate proven leadership skills, and excellent communication skills
* Demonstrated knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117, DoD SAP Manuals, and appropriate Intelligence Community Directives
* Possess a high level of understanding and previous application of the ICD-705, to include, but not limited to; intrusion detection systems, access control devices, TEMPEST requirements, drawings/specifications, etc. for DoD and IC customers. * Ability to solve complex problems arriving at a decision independently
* Thorough knowledge and demonstrated application of the U.S. Government security standards Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills * TS/SCI with current CI Polygraph
* Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the DoD SAP Manuals, ICDs and TEMPEST.
* Ability to apply the foregoing knowledge of government security requirements in a complex multi-level secure environment to ensure program compliance in non-routine situations.
* Ability to work independently to identify, assess & resolve unique security situations with innovative solutions geared to facilitate contract performance within the bounds of security requirements.
* Highly proficient written and verbal communication skills with emphasis on clear and coherent presentation of complex information Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $113080 - $192280 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
