This announcement uses the Certain Personnel of the DoD direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Having a degree with Major study -- interior design or other field that included or was supplemented by at least 30 semester hours in interior design, interior architecture, or interior environmental design; and passage of the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) examination is highly desired. A forty hour work week is typical for this position. This position is being recruited at the full performance level. Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees. A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized. This position is eligible for part time, full time or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management. Physical Demands:
Work is primarily sedentary, however, there may be climbing, walking, bending, crawling, or stooping involved in activities such as investigating problems, making indoor/outdoor site visits, and generally traversing construction work sites. Work Environment:
Work generally involves minimal risks and observance of safety precautions typical of an office setting; however, field inspections are made which may required protective clothing.
