Duties * Serve as civilian lead for strategy and policy and supervises a team of strategists, policy experts, and other staff members dedicated to advancing these same responsibilities and objectives. * Develop and review policy recommendations on a range of strategic issues. * Communicate the preferences, views, and priorities of the Secretary of the Army to the strategic planning community on a continuous basis. * Assign work based upon priorities, complexity of work assignments, and the capabilities and job descriptions of the individual employees. Requirements Conditions of Employment * Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. * Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance. * This position is a Testing Designated Position subject to applicant testing and random drug testing. Selectees will be required to sign DA Form 5019 requiring participation in random drug urinalysis testing.
