Optical Engineer/Scientist with Security Clearance

Radiance Technologies, a rapidly growing employee-owned company, is searching for a talented optics engineer and leader to join our high energy laser team. An ideal candidate would be a self-starter with excellent technical skills and creative design and problem-solving capabilities enabled by the application of physical and mathematical concepts across disciplines. Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to clearly convey complex concepts are a plus. Desired Qualifications: * Familiarity with statistical data processing, confidence intervals and error propagation * Experience with NIST traceable measurement devices * Skill using MATLAB or other software to model physical components and systems * Experience using ZEMAX for optical system design and analysis * Experience with semiconductor laser diode systems, devices, and experiments Required Skills: * Bachelor's degree in Physics, Engineering, or relevant field * US citizenship with ability to obtain a Secret clearance Required Experience: * Minimum of 2 years relevant experience. (A Master's Degree in Physics, Engineering, or relevant technical field will substitute for the work experience) * Experience working in optics laboratory * Experience with laser and optical system alignment * Experience with optical instruments such as interferometers and alignment telescopes * Experience with electronic instruments such as oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers * Experience collecting and processing data from instrumentation EOE/Minorities/Females/Vet/Disabled
