Duties * You will provide on-the-job training (OJT) to employees, maintains current knowledge, and answers employee questions on policies, procedures, and processes. * You will advise supervisor on simple, informal complaints of employees, advise supervisor on training requirements, employee performance, and any personal conduct considered detrimental to operational or mission accomplishment. * You will provide information to supervisor as requested on personnel actions such as promotions, reassignments, recognition of performance or awards input. * You will assist the supervisor in conducting quality control inspections of the Customer Services Team. * You will lead team members that conduct technical validation, processes requisitions, and requisition maintenance. * You will perform the full range of work leader duties, such as ensuring workload is equally distributed and balanced, and assists to resolve challenges, and instructs employees as necessary to complete assignments. * You will provide a broad range of supply support services to internal and external customers at NAS PAX River. * You will review, process, and submit external Material Obligation Validations (MOVs) to Naval Inventory Control Point (NAVICP). * You will communicate with NAVICP via email/phone/fax to accurately address, report, and respond to requisition actions required by NAVICP on a recurring basis. * You will provide services including a variety of requisition processing, customer support, and processes related to the government purchase card program and purchase agreement documents. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal. * This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. * This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision. * This position is considered Key/Non-Combat Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support of the expeditionary requirements in other than combat or combat support situations. * This is a bargaining unit position. Qualifications You must have one year of specialized Supply Technician experience equivalent to the GS-5 grade level or pay band in the federal service, or the equivalent in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying broad knowledge of established supply regulations, processes, and procedures in the areas of inventory processing, requisition processing, customer support, receipt control functions and the processing of various material requisition-related documents. You must have experience utilizing automated supply information systems and databases such Naval Aviation Logistics Command Management Information System (NALCOMIS) and Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP) system to perform technical supply support work and day-to-day operational procedures. You must also have experience training/assisting team members on various supply support services. Examples of specialized experience may include: 1) Applying a working knowledge of supply operations such as ashore policies, and basic supply support processes and procedures including material requirements, identification, procurement, material receipt, expenditures, and inventory management to perform a range of supply support services; 2) Conducting extensive research to resolve frustrated shipments and receipt document discrepancies; 3) Demonstrated work experience in requisition processing, requisition monitoring, receipt document processing, and customer support in order for incumbent to assist employees in developing supply function solutions, identify and resolve hardware/software/user errors and provide support in the day-to-day branch operations; 4) Demonstrated experience compiling and reviewing data, discussing and preparing recommendations, preparing reports, correspondence, and presentations in support of customer requirements and branch operations using the Microsoft Office Suite; 5) Perform receipt control functions to include open-purchase receipts and invoices related to the government purchase card program and purchase agreement documents; and 6) Provide on the job training to new employees, resolve or assist employees in resolving challenges associated with the proper flow of requisitions and receipt processing.
