Due to growth, Senesco Marine, the premier shipyard for new construction and vessel repair in the Northeast, is seeking an Electrical Applications Engineer to join their team in North Kingstown, RI . Essential duties and responsibilities:
  • Report to the VP of Operations
  • Develop simple schematics, equipment foundations and arrangement drawings utilizing AutoCAD.
  • Review and revise electrical drawings for current project(s); check and complete ECR’s if necessary.
  • Verify internal designs are in accordance with construction drawings and best ship building practices; develop build strategies and module breakdowns with production.
  • Review and approve vendor drawings and system design, as well as coordinate design and lofting companies to meet project schedules.
  • Coordinate with trades through the installation process.
  • Coordinate with all electrical/electronics subcontractors.
  • Review purchase orders for major electrical equipment.
  • Provide production with field support.

Senesco Marine has quickly made a name for itself as the premier shipyard for new construction and vessel repair in the Northeast. Consisting of 26 acres of Narragansett Bay waterfront property, Senesco Marine has created a small but highly efficient shipyard capable of producing a vast array of vessels for our customers’ needs. Senesco Marine has successfully built and delivered on-time over a dozen 80K and 100K barrel double-hulled fuel and chemical barges for our clients with a new line of 60K barrel double-hulled fuel and chemical barges currently under construction. Also included in the shipyard’s repertoire are first-of-their kind Facet Tugs.

Senesco Marine started out as many small shipyards do, building small deck barges and developing relationships with customers and fulfilling needs in the marine market place. Since then, the shipyard has built larger barges and entered the competitive tug building market. We are very proud to announce our successes in this venture by delivering two of the world’s first Facet Tugs. This has lead Senesco Marine into the aluminum fabrication industry.
