We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our medical billing client as a Medical Billing Specialist. You will be responsible for various aspects of medical billing and revenue cycle management. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Medical Billing Specialist Details:
- Monday-Friday 8am-4pm
- Starting $18-21/hr depending on experience
- Hybrid schedule-3 days at home and 2 days at Wyomissing office
- Excellent benefits upon conversion including: medical, dental, vision and life insurance, 401(K) with employer match, tuition reimbursement, paid vacation and paid holidays upon conversion
- Denial management: Review and resolve denied claims in a timely manner to ensure maximum reimbursement.
- Make adjustments/corrections to patient accounts: Process adjustments and corrections accurately to maintain billing integrity.
- Contact insurance carriers for claims status: Communicate with insurance companies to follow up on outstanding claims and resolve any issues.
- Answer patient calls and respond to inquiries or problems in a professional and courteous manner: Address patient inquiries regarding billing and insurance coverage with empathy and professionalism.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Knowledge of health insurance, medical billing policies, and procedures required.
- Revenue cycle experience preferred.
- Prior billing experience preferred with anesthesia.
